Information Week's "What's Hot" (27Jul98) published on page 124 examines BSqaure's new "information download" solution for Windows CE devices called "bReady," and Pendragon Software's new "forms development kit" called "OrderForms" for Palm Pilot devices.

ZDNET has posted an interesting "trend" article entitled "Windows CE applications trickle in" that notes that handheld software developers have been introducing more and more Windows CE savvy applications in recent weeks.

Wireless Today (11Aug98) is reporting that a quick review of wireless service provider Omnipoint's latest financial statements show good growth in their pre-paid customer base, but they have also been experiencing a great deal of "roaming fraud costs" in many of their international markets.

John Spooner has a front page article in the PC Week published on 03Aug98 entitled "'Jupiter' Handhelds Seek Out IT Space." The article goes into great depth into Microsoft's future Windows CE directions and focus for version 2.1 that should be available to consumers before the end of 1998.

Data Collection Systems and Intermec Technologies have announced the availability of a data collection system called "Data Collection Advantage" that enables bar code data collection for four PeopleSoft enterprise software applications (Materials Management, Sales and Logistics, Time and Labor, and Production Management).

The Digital Cellular published on 13Aug98 announced that Geofox has released the first "Symbian compliant devices" that include GSM capabilities to wirelessly access the Internet. The EPOC32 empowered device will use TDK's new Grey Cell GSM PC Card that can work with a host of GSM handsets built by Nokia, Ericsson, Panasonic, Motorola, and Samsung.

NewtBrick has announced version 1.3 of their Newton Portfolio Manager that helps you manage your investments in stocks, mutual funds, options, and bonds. By entering quotes you can see how your securities are performing.
