Shadowgate Classic

Adventure game lovers will rejoice at the release of Shadowgate Classic for Windows CE. This eerie and seductive game begins with your character, descended from the ancient Line of Kings, standing before Castle Shadowgate. You must enter it and solve the mysteries, while avoiding the traps, to find the ancient Staff of Ages, the one weapon with the power to combat the evil schemes of the hated Warlock Lord. Magical items, weapons, and spells will help you as you explore the first person perspective world. A world, which-impressively-does not require a keyboard as the interface, is entirely "point and tap." This adds to the realism, since you'll never have to leave the immersion of the game to type something on your keyboard.

Shadowgate requires a hefty 3.4MB of valuable memory, but is well worth it if you are a serious adventure game aficionado. The current version only supports HPC and HPC Pro, but they plan to release a Palmsize PC version in the next few months. Infinate Ventures Inc. also plans to release three more adventure games this year to satisfy your cravings. And thankfully so, since they are the only company to release a graphic first person adventure game thus far.

When I first started using CoolCalc, I kept thinking that there was no reason to buy it. Most handhelds come with a calculator already, so why would I buy another? However, once I realized how powerful the program was since I could design my own calculators, the inherent value of CoolCalc became apparent. Not only do you get a useful set of well-designed calculators, you get a simple method to create your own. For anyone looking to create a special function calculator that they cannot find in any existing calculator package, CoolCalc 3.0 is the only answer around.
